It’s Autumn, which means if I make a Big Pot of Soup it will Fix Everything. No one fact check me on this. We need to let the soup speak for itself.

something that will never not amuse me about andrew minyard is that he has the dead-inside customer service worker mentality of “i just work here” and “they can’t pay me enough to care about this shit” but about being a famous multi million dollar professional athlete.

minyard-05:

can’t remember when but i said once that andrew is a fake ass idgafer but aaron would never fake something as sacred as not giving a fuck and honestly i have never been more correct

Truly hilarious that Tamsyn got to write a reverse AU, A coffee shop AU and probably arranged marriage AU within the story of Harrow the Ninth.

Also love that Abigail and Magnus were like… “Are we sure we want to pull her out of the dinner party?? That sounds delightful.”

someone pointed out to me if andreil’s band arms are identical, Neil’s has sheathes too. but Neil doesn’t carry knives so I’ve decided he puts candy in there for Andrew and uses it like motivation to get him to behave in public.

starlightshadowsworld:

There’s something about how Neil is the only Fox to enter the Nest.

That he’s the only one to see where Kevin grew up and was even given his bed. He lost Kevin 8 years ago and now he’s willingly walked into where they kept him all this time.

Neil who has a binder detailing every aspect of Kevin’s life having to walk in his shoes and realise oh…this is what they did to you.

In everything the Ravens do to him Neil pictures Kevin in his place. It’s his blood staining the court and the number branded on his face.

The darkness is suffocating but nothing feels as all encompassing as Kevin’s presence within this cruel and dreadful place.

And the longer Neil stays the more he sees just how Kevin has changed.

How his disapproval never came from a place of disgust. Because Kevin cares, Kevin has always cared and he’s always believed in them even if it didn’t seem that way.

He knows exactly what each of them are capable of and will make sure they get there.

Neil trying to catch his breath after being struck by the Tetsuji’s cane knowing that Kevin would’ve never let him on the court after that.

Kevin whose glare seems so far from Riko’s malice. Kevin who was never quiet, not about Exy, not about his thoughts or anything when the Ravens don’t dare speak for themselves.

They call Kevin weak and Neil almost laughs.

Kevin who plays every game as if it were his last. Kevin who practices every night desperately trying to recover what he’s lost. Kevin Day who faced a life time of torment and abuse and still managed to run from this cult.

And they’ve never been able to replace him,

One of the strongest and most infuriating people Neil has ever known.

And maybe that’s the strength he holds onto because Kevin didn’t recognise him but still knew how capable he was from the start.

Kevin expects him to come back home and Neil would hate to disappoint.

honestly I’m glad y’all enjoy wymack’s last speech so much bc I almost deleted the entire thing for being so melodramatic

the relief you feel when you learn nicky’s erik is a real person

“you dont know him he goes to another school” nicky was probably fighting for his life reassuring the twins he exists

tinmate:

Something about Kevin loving strong women.

Something about Kevin loving and missing his mother, an indomitable force who changed the world

Something about Kevin falling in love with Thea, an impressive and burly back liner who made it through the Nest while being both female and black

Something about Kevin respecting and following Dan without question despite the widespread push back against a female captain, even of the worst and most controversial team in collegiate Exy and even despite his own superior playing skills

Something about Kevin trusting Renee with the rescue, care, and keeping of Jean

Something about Kevin respecting and submitting to Abby’s authority as a medical professional despite his own experience with the Nest’s doctors being all male

Something about Kevin rightly calling the Queen the most dangerous piece on the board and getting a queen piece tattooed on his face

Something about Kevin, in the hyper-masculine world of sports in the early 2000s, raised in the sexist environment of the Nest, proudly calling himself a Queen

Something about Kevin Day keeping his mother’s last name
